Mr. Palley is responsible for equity portfolio management including stock selection and the analysis of economic trends and industries.
Mr. Palley has achieved 45 years of investment experience. His breadth of experience provides First Foundation clients with his considerable and valued perspectives when managing equity investments. Prior to joining First Foundation Mr. Palley held positions as a Managing Director at Neuberger Berman, LLC where he opened the Newport Beach, California office in 2002. Prior to 2002 he was Vice President, National Director of Value Strategies for Wells Fargo Asset Management, managing $15 billion in assets for fourteen years and was President of Palley-Needelman Asset Management, Inc., managing $5 billion in assets. From 1964 to 1985, he held roles with Dreyfus, Oppenheimer and Co., Winrich Capital Management, and Title Insurance and Trust Company.
Mr. Palley was awarded the CFA designation in 1975, and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver. He attained his MA in Finance from California State University, Long Beach, and his MA in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Palley is a Co-chair of the Southern California endowment committee at SMU and active in the community.
