David T. Mitsuuchi serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, where he leads the Bank's lending strategy and activities, oversees the origination process, and ensures that the lending strategies align with the Bank's overarching business objectives. Mr. Mitsuuchi joined First Foundation Bank in May 2021 serving as the Chief Commercial Credit Officer for the C&I Commercial & Corporate Banking portfolios, managing the lending practices, documentation, and credit risk management controls and processes.
Prior to First Foundation, Mr. Mitsuuchi served as Senior Regional Credit Officer & Lending Manager at Wells Fargo where he oversaw a team of Senior Regional Credit Officers. He worked with the Southern California Markets providing credit admin portfolio oversight and guidance to the Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura/Santa Barbara County and San Diego County regions.
Mr. Mitsuuchi, also provided Credit Administrative support for the Healthcare Industries Group at Wells Fargo, specializing in the lending services to Dental, Veterinary, Optometry and Medical / Physician related practices. Mr. Mitsuuchi has held multiple positions in the Business Banking and Commercial Banking groups, which helped build his foundation for portfolio management and credit risk management skills.
Mr. Mitsuuchi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic/Finance from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Mitsuuchi is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, where he was an Executive Student Advisor and Management Report Grading Advisor.
