Mr. Nuño serves as Chief Banking Officer for First Foundation Inc. He leads the company’s Risk Divisions at First Foundation Inc, First Foundation Bank, and First Foundation Advisors.
Mr. Nuño has over 43 years of banking experience. Prior to joining First Foundation in 2009, he served as Executive Operating Officer at Sunwest Bank. Past positions also include National Compliance Manager for Banco Popular North America, Director of Operations, Branch Administrator and Human Resources Director for Universal Bank, Chief Compliance Officer for East West Bank and Director of Training at East West Bank.
Mr. Nuño serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. As an ambassador for affordable housing, he has also provided guidance in the areas of anti-money laundering and consumer compliance to several other Habitat for Humanity affiliates including Coachella Valley, Honolulu, and Las Vegas. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Villa Esperanza Services which provides a wide variety of programs and services for individuals with intellectual/developmental differences.
Mr. Nuño earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership at Azusa Pacific University.
